Tithes & Offerings

What is a Tithe?

The word means a tenth or 10%. The concept is that it is the first 10% of your income. An “offering” is anything you give above and beyond the 10%. At High Street, we teach that a tithe is not only a responsibility for the believer, but a blessing as well.

Why Do We Tithe?

Deuteronomy 14:23 reminds us that tithing is a physical act of worship that places God first. You are acknowledging that God is the supplier of everything.”

“Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.” Malachi 3:10
